Richmond Hill Counterbalance Forklift Training - Demand is always high for our popular Counterbalance Forklift Truck Training courses. A Counterbalance forklift is a forklift together with a weight which counters the balance, allowing the weight of the load to be spread equally across the forklift arms. Counterbalance forklifts are made so the weight on the lift is counterbalanced by the weight behind the centre of gravity. The load is projected out from the front of the equipment so it is visible to the operator of the forklift. This type of forklift truck must only be used on prepared surface or on stable, level ground.
Training is necessary for forklift operators to know the proper way to distribute the load equally across the forklift arms. Trainees will learn how to raise and lower the load vertically and how to tilt the forklift mast both forwards and backwards between 5 and 15 degrees. Trainees will be taught the RTITB standards needed for safely operating the forklift. Trainees will likewise know the types of attachments for the arms of the forklift.
